CagriSema is the name of an investigational combination of two peptides developed by Novo Nordisk. One is cagrilintide, a long-acting analog of the hormone amylin. The other is semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that is already FDA-approved on its own under other brand names.
CagriSema has been studied in phase 3 clinical trials in adults with obesity or overweight, and in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Current status: Investigational – not FDA-approved.
