KLOW Peptide Blend: What It Is and Its U.S. Regulatory Status

What is the KLOW blend?

KLOW is a marketing name, not a scientific or regulatory term. It is commonly used for a blend of four separate peptides: BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu and KPV. Each of these compounds has its own profile in our Peptide Guide.

In brief, BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide based on a protein found in gastric juice, TB-500 is based on part of thymosin beta-4, GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide used in skin care, and KPV is a tripeptide from the end of alpha-MSH.

U.S. regulatory status

Current status: Not FDA-approved.

This means the FDA has not approved the KLOW blend as safe and effective for any medical use. No product containing it is an approved medicine in the United States.

None of these four peptides is FDA-approved as a drug, and the blend has not been studied as a combination in clinical trials. GHK-Cu may be used as a topical cosmetic ingredient, but that status does not extend to blends meant for other uses.
